A BIRD’S EYE VIEW
The results of the 2017 RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch show over 35,000 people in Scotland took part, counting 626,184 birds. Held in January, the event revealed an explosion in the number of sightings of waxwings and other migrant birds. House sparrows remained at the top of the Scottish Birdwatch results, a position they have held since 2012. www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/results
