Paper soldiers among exhibitions to remember Prestonpans

A programme of activities to mark the 275th anniversary of the battle of Prestonpans and 300th anniversary of the birth of Bonnie Prince Charlie will take place in East Lothian this autumn. An anniversary weekend will be held on 19-21 September, with music, poetry and guided tours of the battlefield. A clans and regiments exhibition will be held at Prestonpans town hall on 20 September, including a paper replica of the battle with 5,000 hand-made figures representing every soldier who took part. www.prestonpans275.org
