Cox supports NTS plea

Hollywood star Brian Cox has thrown his support behind the National Trust for Scotland’s £2.5 million Save Our Scotland fundraising campaign. The star of Braveheart, Succession and X-Men recorded a voiceover for the trust’s television advert from his home in upstate New York. Although some of the trust’s sites will reopen this summer, the coronavirus lockdown has left a £28 million hole in its budget, forcing it to keep some properties closed until 2022, either due to a lack of resources or because they cannot be adapted to allow social distancing. www.nts.org.uk
