SECOND PLACE FOR SCOTS ARTIST

Irvine-based artist Maree Hughes took second place in the Derwent Art Prize, scooping up £2,000. The Glasgow School of Art graduate was one of 1,884 artists from 72 countries who entered more than 4,750 pieces in the competition.
