ARE TREES SENTIENT BEINGS?

There are other powerful advocates for the fact that trees are sentient entities. DAVID GEORGE HASKELL: In his book The Songs of Trees, the American biologist argued that trees don’t have a language but are naturally networking.

SUZANNE SIMARD: Based on 30 years of research the Canadian ecologist’s Ted Talk ‘How trees talk to each other’ has 4.3 million views. It outlined the ‘belowground fungal networks that connect trees and facilitate underground intertree communication and interaction. Underground there is this other world of infinite biological pathways that connect trees and allow the forest to behave as though it’s a single organism.’
