Fettes is uniquely situated in 100 acres of private, extensive grounds close to the heart of Edinburgh. One of the UK’s pre-eminent boarding schools for boys and girls aged 7-18, Fettes is renowned for their academic excellence and sector-leading pastoral care.

Student wellbeing is our key priority as happy children thrive. Fettes’ size means staff get to know students individually and can nurture them to develop their unique skills and talents. Fettes is a full-boarding school (no flexi or weekly boarding) and within each boarding house is a caring community of day and boarding students designed to be a real home-from-home.

Sport

Sport is an integral part of a healthy and active lifestyle, developing key life skills such as teamwork and communication. We expect students to show commitment, determination and drive, whatever team they are in. With over 20 sporting options, students can find a sport they love. The Arts

Fettes offers a true all-round education and the provision of the arts is central to that philosophy. Allocating generous time to Music, Art and Drama sparks creativity, builds confidence and encourages exploration of the world around them.
