Strathallan School
Holding an international reputation, Strathallan needs little introduction to those seeking a high-quality boarding establishment for their sons and daughters. The School is regarded as one of the best in Scotland and has a worldwide reputation for academic, musical and sporting excellence offering a true all round education. The School revolves around boarding, with 60% of the 545 pupils being full boarders from all over the UK and abroad. We have a very strong international and expat community with 18% of pupils having parents who live outside the UK and 20% of our pupils being from 25 different countries. As a whole, 80% of our pupils are British. Being a member of the Strathallan community is a wonderful experience in itself, but crucially it is also an outstanding preparation for the future.
Strathallan Prep School (age 8 to 13)
In September Strathallan launched its new Prep School. Previously Riley Boarding House, it is a perfect balance of small classes with big resources. Our pupils enjoy the expertise of dedicated primary school teachers and the specialist input of subject teachers from the senior school. It is a world where children can make friends easily, where they are nurtured, motivated and inspired.
Excellent Academic Achievement
The average class size at Strathallan is just 14 pupils. Our A Level rate at A* to B was above 79% last year. Over 95% of leavers progress onto top universities in the UK and abroad, with some of the brightest successfully making it to Oxbridge.
Inclusion
We have an exceptional sporting record with a number of young Strathallians being Olympic and Commonwealth athletes, but our ethos is about inclusion. 100% of all pupils represent the School in team sports under the age of 15. Participation in sports right through to Sixth Form is extremely high, as is the number of pupils taking part in our 25 music ensembles and extensive performing arts activities.
At Strathallan we truly believe in our motto – We provide opportunities for every pupil to excel wherever their interests lie.
