DL says: Not many British anglers realise Norway has some tremendous ling, specimens well over 50lb are regularly taken, although not in the far north.

The best areas for monster ling in Norway are around Bodo, roughly halfway up the coast, notably off the island of Hitra.

The Shetland Islands are another reliable area to boat a lunker ling.
