The fact that plenty of these can be caught in relatively safe conditions alongside a sheltered harbour wall is a bonus when the beach is being pounded by 8ft waves. It’s too rough for getting out to drop anchor for cod, but you can steal a march in the species hunt by staying in the sheltered harbour.
