ERGOFIT BUOYANCY AID

Originally designed for the America’s Cup, the ErgoFit 50N EX represents a revolution in buoyancy aid design.

Crewsaver has built in the facility for a chest-mounted Spare Air cylinder. The cylinder’s positioning allows for hands-free use of the device meaning that, even with arms trapped, the user is able to receive air underwater.

The buoyancy aid also features a readily accessible integrated line cutter, which is easily deployed with a downward motion. The Fusion 3D design is constructed to contour to the shape of the wearer’s body to provide a close and unrestricting fit. Airflow technology incorporated throughout the buoyancy aid allows for the efficient transfer of heat during the exertions of angling.

Alongside high tech safety features, this buoyancy aid has also been developed for practicality, and hosts a rear pocket with concealed shoulder channels.

There are two models available: ErgoFit 50N EX at £85 and ErgoFit 50N EX with Armour for £170.

YAMAHA F100 OUTBOARD ENGINE

Even lighter and more compact - that’s how Yamaha has made its latest-generation F100 faster and more powerful.

Already well established as a desirable midrange engine with outstanding performance, it has now been given even more power and faster acceleration.

Without compromising the legendary strength and reliability for which all Yamaha engines are famous, the engineers have not only re-designed certain components to make this latest model even more compact, but also at the same time, a significant weight saving has been achieved to give more power, more speed and even sharper outof-the-hole acceleration.

These factors contribute to making any boat feel livelier and more responsive, and provide the perfect solution for owners of older two-stroke engines, who want to enjoy the many benefits of having the very latest four-stroke technology on the stern.

The F100, costing around £8,500, not only delivers this higher level of performance, but does it even more smoothly and quietly, with minimal sound and vibration levels - particularly noticeable at lower operating speeds thanks to the re-design of the exhaust system, the addition of an intake silencer and the improved rigidity of the engine unit itself. Full compatibility with Yamaha’s Digital Network System brings with it an impressive array of sophisticated control functions and options, including availability of a wide range of digital gauges, VTS (Variable Trolling Speed) control and the Y-COP immobiliser security system. The multi-function tiller handle is another attractive option. It has a forwardmounted shift control within easy reach of the driver and a large, strong tiller and throttle twist-grip, for very comfortable steering, handling and manoeuvring. The integral VTS system not only provides a lower than normal idle speed, but also means you can control your trolling speed in simple 50rpm steps - ideal for fishing. With its stylish graphics and cleverly designed water-draining side air intake duct, the latest top cowling design completes the picture of the exciting new F100. The really solid look and feel of this new engine is just the sort of thing that Yamaha engine owners really notice and appreciate. Visit: www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk
