Marcross & Monknash, Vale of Glamorgan, 83 anglers Two conger eels, a brace of rockling, a pouting and dogfish made up the winning total of 7kg for Andrew Withey, of Bridgend.
Runner-up was Steve Chadwick, of Cardiff, with a 6.4kg conger and two rockling for a 6.85kg total; his eel was the event’s heaviest fish.
Third went to Lee Challenger, of Bridgend, with two conger eels for 6.28kg.
