I’m confused about the length of lure rod I should go for. Any tips?

There is more rubbish talked about lure rod length than almost anything else in lure fishing!

These days, I suppose that I feel most comfortable with a lure rod for my shore-based fishing of around 9ft to 9ft 6in, but for a few years I used 8ft rods and did just fine.

I have fished with many lure anglers who catch plenty of bass using all manner of different rod lengths, so, really, it has to come down to you.

If I had to go for just the one length, though, it would be 9ft long.
