In many areas where turbot are found, the ideal outfit to target them would be a 20/30lb-class tackle, though when fishing in deep water with a strong run of tide, a 30/50lb outfit might be more suitable. Conversely, in shallower water, a lighter, 12/20lb rod, or an uptider, might prove ideal.
