Sea Angler (UK) YOUNG RODS 2020-06-25 - Achievements by our younger readers.Sea Angler’s celebration of the great angling achievements of its younger readers Kian Nicholson, 12, from Clitheroe, used frozen black lug tipped with Bluey and caught two plaice at Morecambe, Lancs. His dad Phil also caught a 9lb thornback ray. Three-yearold Harry Hardwick, from Trowbridge, Wilts, caught this dogfish when he fished Chesil Beach at West Bexington, in Dorset. Nine-year-old Garraghan, from Shotton Colliery, in County Durham, caught this bass when he fished from the beach at Hartlepool, Cleveland. Olly Jess Whitby, aged six, fished with her dad on the River Stour in Suffolk, and caught her first bass of the year. The young angler, from Ipswich, used freshly dug lugworms for bait. Myles Hodgson, from Sunderland in Tyne and Wear, loves his shore fishing, but the sixyear-old decided to do some inshore fishing afloat with his dad. Using a variety of tactics, he enjoyed a great day catching codling as well as this pollack. Jack Hardwick, shows off a nice plaice that he caught during a shore session. The nine-year-old, from Trowbridge, Wilts, was fishing with his brother Harry at West Bexington on the mighty Chesil Beach in Dorset.
