Q: While lure fishing at night, other than bass, what species could I expect to target? MARTIN HARPER, CRAGHEAD, CO DURHAM

HG says: I have caught plenty of pollack on lures at first and last light especially, and I have had a few at night as well, but would I actively target them like this? I am not so sure.

I would urge you, though, to get into lure fishing for bass at night. It has changed my own bass fishing for the better, and I no longer worry about calm conditions at all – I just go night fishing.
