Scenic escorts the trade

- BY LAURA GELDER

RIVER CRUISE specialist Scenic is currently promoting its entire stable of escorted touring products to the trade, including holidays to Australia, New Zealand and the Americas.

The move is in response to positive trade sales for Scenic’s river cruising products, particularly to Southeast Asia and Europe, as well as ScenicEclipse ocean cruising , which sets sail this August, and Egypt and Jordan touring itineraries, which proved popular when they were introduced late last year (60% of sales have since have been through the trade).

There are six itineraries in the Americas, with journeys across Canada and Alaska including trips on the Rocky Mountaineer and cruises with Holland America Line; the Historic Trails of the East tour between New York and Atlanta; a 10-day Peru journey; and the 18-day Icons of South America taking in Peru, Argentina and Brazil.

Tours Down Under include the 19-day Ultimate Tasmania; 17-day Tastes of South Australia; 21-day Royal New Zealand, touring between Christchurch and Auckland; and the 31-day Very Best of Australia and New Zealand.

All Scenic tours include Scenic Enrich cultural experiences, ranging from learning about diverse wildlife to feasting on local cuisine. Examples include getting involved in a Rocky Mountain round-up or gathering under the Tane Mahuta kauri tree to listen to Mãori stories in New Zealand. scenic.co.uk
