Salt Lake City puts on a show
THE 30th annual Go West Summit, the annual trade showcase of the 16 westernmost states of the USA, brought together 337 destinations and tourism suppliers and 189 buyers and media from 19 countries.
From an opening event held at the Natural History Museum of Utah to a closing night that included a special performance by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Temple Square, attendees were invited to explore Salt Lake City and discover the ‘American West’.
Mary Motsenbocker, Go West President said: “The busy trade floor schedule included 10,964 official appointments. Our partners are tourism offices, CVBs, hotels, transportation, lodging and attractions along with international tour operators and media. We look forward to continuing to work with our committed partners for many years to come and invite international visitors to discover all that is so amazing in the western staes of the USA”.
Richard Wimms, Managing Director of Vacations to America, was among the delegation of UK tour operators in Salt Lake City and told SellingTravel: “Go West was a successful show for us.
