Selling Travel

Holy cow!

-

Frequent flyers were not amoosed to find that they are allocated less space on an aircraft than cattle in transit, according to a study by train booking operator Loco2. By law, a medium sized calf weighing 75kg (the average weight of an adult) is entitled to 0.5m squared, whereas most passengers flying are squashed into a space of just 0.35m squared – and that's not including the struggle for the armrest!

Out of 544 flyers questioned, 100% thought it udderly ridiculous to travel in a smaller space than that of our farmyard friends – and have to pay for the privilege. The survey confirmed that 60% would opt for transport that provided them with more personal space such as a train or even a bus before making the same mi-steak again. loco2.com
