Why sell it?

Far-flung Cape Verde is not the Bri­tish trav­eller's first choice for sun, but the 10-strong vol­canic ar­chi­pel­ago of­fers some of the world’s best beaches and al­most year-round sun cou­pled with av­er­age tem­per­a­tures of 27C.

Just a six-hour flight from the UK, di­rect flights are avail­able from Gatwick, Birm­ing­ham, Bris­tol, Manch­ester and Glas­gow, to Sal and Boa Vista.

Be­yond the beach, the is­lands are also renowned for wa­ter­sports and ex­plo­ration of its rugged moun­tains and fer­tile val­leys.

Per­fect for cou­ples on a hon­ey­moon or ro­man­tic break, plenty of ho­tels of­fer quiet get­aways, com­bin­ing re­lax­ing days on the beach with ac­tion-packed ex­cur­sions around the is­land.
