Badger culls have been ex­tended

Nat­u­ral Eng­land has is­sued li­cences for fur­ther badger culls in Glouces­ter­shire and Som­er­set to com­bat bovine TB.

Is­sued fol­low­ing ad­vice from DEFRA, the li­cences will last un­til 31 Jan­uary 2022 and re­quire Glouces­ter­shire con­trollers to “swiftly and hu­manely” despatch a min­i­mum of 160 and a max­i­mum of 580 badgers. In Som­er­set, the li­cence re­quires a min­i­mum of 140 and a max­i­mum of 610.
