PIGEON RECIPE
As the afternoon drew on and the dogs began casting long shadows on to the stubble, my shooting was improving slightly, but it was time to call it a day and get to a delicious supper with James’s parents.
We took the hide down and pickedup the bag, which totalled 64 pigeons and a jackdaw — what a day.
As it was laid out, I would be lying if I said I didn’t have a twinge of apprehension about the plucking that I would be doing tomorrow. But what a feast we would have.
