JOHNNY Kingdom 1939-2018

TV wildlife personality Johnny Kingdom has died aged 79 after a digger accident on his farmland.

The presenter specialised in his local area of Exmoor and North Devon and found fame in 2006 after a 10-part BBC series about his life, Johnny Kingdom: A Year on Exmoor. He was celebrated for his filming and photography of red stags and badgers.

Before becoming a filmmaker, Mr Kingdom worked as a farmer, quarryman, forestry worker, gravedigger and poacher.
