SNAKE THREATS
The snake season is now at its highest and in my locality it has become quite an epidemic, causing grave concern to dog owners in particular. Snake bites are occurring regularly, incurring astronomical veterinary fees – not to mention the emotional worry over the welfare of our best friend, many of them being working dogs.
The location consists of approximately two miles of sandy dunes, a natural habitat for adders, with the adjoining shore being a favourite area to take the dogs for their daily exercise.
