Shooting with a wide-angle lens can sometimes cause issues with compositio­n as there’s so much in view and there’s not always a clear focal point. Here, however, I liked how the tree’s outline mirrors the dust lanes within the Galaxy, as if it were a transition between Earth and the sky. I also kept the ground dark during postproces­sing to draw the eye upward.
