Rebels reveal retained list

-

Slough Town have announced their provisional retained list following the end of the National League South campaign, players who have either agreed to stay or have already signed terms for the coming season.

So far 10 players, including new club captain Scott Davies, Lee Togwell, Matt Lench and vice captain Josh Jackman have agreed to remain with the Rebels next season while talks are continuing with Aaron Kuhl and goalkeeper Jonathan North.

Many of the club's emerging talents from last season are also set to stay on, such as u23s Academy graduates Gabe George, Joe Dandy, Eitel Goueth and Imran Kayani. Edon Pruti and George Hunt – two players signed after progressing through the Burnley and Bournemouth academies, and who both made a big impact last season – are also set to stay.

The club hopes to be able to give more information on the future of Kuhl and North in the coming weeks.

Kurtis Cumberbatch was also offered the chance to come back in pre-season, but he is set to ‘review firmer offers’ while Joe Lawal is set to return for preseason alongside several others from the u23s academy.

Striker turned central defender Ryan Bird is also expected to be back for pre-season as he continues his recovery following a long-term injury. The club statement said he is making excellent progress and will aim to prove his fitness to the management team.

Jon Underwood and Neil Baker have also spoken with numerous players, including one or two familiar faces, who they hope to persuade back to the club.
