Film & Comic Con is back – don’t miss it!
FILM & Comic Con Cardiff is back at the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff on Saturday, March 4, and Sunday, March 5. Continuing to build on the success of the previous Film & Comic Cons in Cardiff it hopes to bring you some more of your favourite stars from TV, film and comics as well as a whole host of fun activities including photo shoots with the stars, panels, autograph sessions, retro video gaming, Cosplay Masquerade and hundreds of stalls full of TV and film memorabilia to browse.
Pick up collectable movie/TV merchandise, outfits and toys, or discover arts and crafts that you will not find on the high street.
Showmasters Events is hugely supportive of the Cosplay community, and it’s giving a platform to show off your work with a dedicated area. Whether it’s a fully-customised project you’ve designed yourself or partially store-bought, it’s fully on board with giving customers a way to express their talents with their craft and/or performance as their favourite characters!
Cosplay photo shoots are a fantastic opportunity for you to have your photograph taken professionally at the event – these images will be uploaded to Cosplay at Showmasters Facebook page after the event, so that you can download them for free! For only £5 you can take a physical copy of the image home with you – a great memento!
At each event fans are offered the opportunity to be in the spotlight by taking part in the masquerade, showcasing their costume, modelling and performance. There’s a grand prize of £200 cash for the main winner each day, £50 cash for runner up and some great smaller prizes for best group, best performance on stage and best junior Cosplay on both days. Everyone who enters has a chance of winning something!
Please be aware that in order to be in the running for the grand prize, you will need to have created a minimum of 80% of the costume yourself.
Doors open from 9am to 6pm. Standard entry: £8 from 11am. Early entry: £15 from 9am.
