The couple: Yasmin Toyah O’Dowd, 27, from Blackpool, and Daniel Cull, 27, from Pontypridd. They both work as graphic designers in Cardiff and they live in Aberdare. The venue: The ceremony was held at Cardiff City Hall on March 23. This was followed by an intimate reception in The Bar Upstairs, in Pontypridd. How they met: “We were 16 when we met,” said Yasmin.

“We met at Coleg Morgannwg College for Art and Design in 2006.

“We were both in the same class studying Btec First Diploma in Art and Design.

“He asked me out a month after we started the course – I was over the moon.” The proposal: Daniel popped the question on the couple’s fifth anniversary.

“We were about to go out for a meal to celebrate,” she said.

“As we were about to leave, Daniel got down on one knee and asked the question. I instantly said yes.” The wedding: Yasmin described the day as “perfect”.

“It was completely us. Low key and no fuss,” she said.

“We didn’t tell a lot of people and only invited close friends and family.

“My brother walked me down the aisle, and I got ready at his place. He was amazing! He looked after me and put up with my constant demands.

“We ate, chatted and drank with our closest and dearest. We couldn’t ask for more.”

The couple then stayed the night at St Davids Hotel in Cardiff Bay, and enjoyed a night of pampering at the hotel spa. The honeymoon: The day after the wedding the couple jetted off for a minimoon at Centre Parcs in Longleat.
