HEY JOE! EX-CITY STAR’S BABY HENDRIX JOY
WELSH international footballer Joe Ledley and his wife Ruby May Ridgeway have announced the birth of their first son – and he already has a head of hair to rival his dad’s beard.
The couple’s third child, Hendrix, was born on Tuesday night and a photo was posted on the Crystal Palace midfielder’s Instagram account.
Writing on Instagram, Ledley said: “Hendrix Ledley born last night, finally back home with his big sisters.”
Cardiff-born Ledley and his wife Ruby announced they were expecting their third child in December last year.
Already parents to two daughters – Layla and Reeva – the newlyweds posted a festive snap of the pair posing for a picture on Christmas Day, captioned: “Our last Christmas as a family of 4.”
Comments flooded in to congratulate the couple, with Ruby thanking everyone for their good wishes.
Their happy news follows a happy summer for both of them after Wales’ success at Euro 2016 and the couple’s nuptials in Ibiza.
It was feared the midfielder, whose celebratory dance moves were a highlight of the tournament in France, would have to put his wedding plans on hold as Wales progressed towards the semi-final in the Euros.
But after Wales were knocked out by eventual winners Portugal, Ledley – who became a Cardiff City cult hero during his six years playing for his hometown club from 2006 to 2010 – was given enough time to charter a private plane and travel to Ibiza to marry Ruby in July.
The pair released pictures in the days after the ceremony on the Spanish isle, posing together in front of a colourful floral display dressed in their wedding attire.
