Radio One DJ set to headline dance festival

-

INSIDE Out Festival is set to return to Cardiff this summer with star DJ Annie Mac taking to the decks in the headline slot.

Returning to Bute Park after its launch last summer, the Radio One DJ will headline the dance event on Saturday, September 30.

Climax Promotions and SWG Productions are teaming up with Cardiff-based Orchard Entertainment to bring the festival back after a successful first year which saw performances from Tinie Tempah, Chase and Status, Wiley and Redlight attract thousands of music lovers to the dance arena.

Festival organisers say this year’s festival-goers can expect “an explosive lineup packed with DJs”.

“Add into the mix extra stages, plenty of bars, street food stands and a huge funfair, Inside Out Festival 2017 will be like no other event in the city,” they added.

Inside Out Festival is one of the very limited chances to catch Annie Mac’s set live this year.

Dublin-born Annie has spent the last decade carving out a career as a broadcaster, tastemaker, talent-finder and international DJ.

She’s been described as “Radio One’s champion of new music” and “the successor to Zane Lowe and John Peel”.

She now presents the Radio One primetime weekday evening show from Monday to Thursday as well as her specialist Friday Night Dance Show, while maintaining huge success as a live DJ.

Her own Annie Mac Presents brand (AMP) hosts events around the globe and has a compilation series which has topped the UK iTunes album charts for the past five years in succession.

Pablo Janczur, from Orchard Entertainment, said: “I’m really happy to be joining forces with Climax and SWG to deliver what will be the ultimate summer closing event in the spectacular surroundings of Cardiff’s Bute Park.

“We aim for this to be an annual must attend for lovers of underground dance music.’

Further acts will be announced in the coming weeks. The event is for over-18s only.
