BRIAN MURPHY Deserved recall for one last game after important period of games at the turn of the year, and finished season with two very good saves to earn clean sheet. LEE PELTIER Full back pushed inside to show his defensive reliability once more and didn’t miss a tackle while doing so. Solid and dependable as ever. SEAN MORRISON (CAPT) One or two switch-offs of concentration, but some vital interceptions as he led a back three and determination to keep clean sheet evident with superb late challenge in box. MATT CONNOLLY Made most of start and recent praise of manager as he looked comfortable in the system, bringing the ball out well when he had to but making the key defensive blocks when he had to. JAZZ RICHARDS Solid stuff from the Wales man who enjoys the wing back role. Got forward well and didn’t leave backdoor open, showed good energy. ARON GUNNARSSON Little subdued from the Iceman after this season’s herocis, but while his influence wasn’t huge, he still battled in midfield and wasn’t about to start pulling out of challenges. JOE RALLS Busy display though would have been nice to have seen him closer to opposition box as Cardiff made most of Huddersfield’s end of season issues. ANTHONY PILKINGTON Chance to showcase talent and while he was again keen to make things happen and provided assist for Zohore, was left frustrated and then subbed for Whittingham. JOE BENNETT Excellent showing from the left-back who made the most of the freedom of the system with two goals and an all-round impressive outing. JUNIOR HOILETT Looked sharp in the first half and may well have had a couple of goals as he looked good in a two with Zohore. Easy to see why Warnock wants him to stay. KENNETH ZOHORE A really classy end of season showing from the Dane. One goal – and a brilliantly taken one – and two assists.
