-

Baby’s name: Date and place of birth: March 30 at 12.35pm at the University Hospital of Wales. Weight: 8lb 8oz. Parents: Mum Laura Kilvington, 26, a student, and dad Ross Penfold, a bill poster, 30, both from Fairwater, Cardiff. Mum’s story: “Max is my third baby. He sleeps a lot more compared to the other two, nothing can wake him up. He’s just like his dad with that.

“It is definitely my toughest pregnancy. I had really bad morning sickness. It was definitely a lot worse.

“I really thought it would be better the third time around.

“I had a planned C-section which all went absolutely fine. It was all successful, Max came out all fine. But I did have to go back into hospital a few days afterwards because I lost a lot of blood during the surgery. My blood was not the strongest anyway.

“I went home 24 hours after giving birth, but then two days later I was back in hospital having iron transfusions.

“At one point they thought they would have to give me a full Max Ross Penfold. blood transfusion, bad.

“I spent a couple of days in hospital. They had a drip pumping iron into my blood for about five hours a day.

“Max was with me the whole time I was in hospital, and the staff were absolutely amazing.

“The midwives were fantastic with helping me breastfeed him. Those first few weeks are so important to spend together too.

“My partner initially wanted to call him Maximus, but I wasn’t too sure. So Max was a good compromise really.

“I’ve got three boys now. I think I’m going to spend the rest of my life cleaning bathroom floors.

“My eldest Leo is eight years old, and Charlie is five. They absolutely love him. The little one was a bit jealous, but he is fine now.

“Max is a very happy boy. He’s full of smiles and he just loves to sleep.

“He definitely takes after his dad in looks, but he does have blue eyes.

“I never thought I would have three boys, but I’m over the moon with them all.” it was that
