WEDDINGS ‘All nerves settled when I saw Craig waiting for me’

The couple: Keelee Rogers, 30, from Porth, and Craig Rosser, 31, from Trealaw. Keelee is a teaching assistant at the autism unit at Ysgol-Yr-Eos, in Penygraig, and Craig works for Western Power Distributi­on. The venue: The ceremony took place on May 27 at St John’s Church in Cymmer. This was followed by a wedding breakfast and reception at Ty-Newydd Country Hotel in Hirwaun. How they met: The couple met through friends while on a night out in August 2008.

They met up that night and never looked back. The proposal: It took place on Christmas morning in 2011 after the couple opened presents with their daughter Kaitlyn.

There was one last present for Keelee that had been hidden in a doll’s house.

Kaitlyn held the ring while Craig proposed and Keelee instantly said yes. The wedding: Keelee said: “Even though we had a storm early on, we were very lucky that it brightened up after the ceremony.

“I was very excited leading up to the wedding and also nervous.

“Not in a Runaway Bride way – I just wanted everything to go as planned.

“All nerves soon settled when my dad Gerald walked me down the aisle and I saw Craig waiting for me.”

She described the day as being “perfect”, and said she wouldn’t have changed a thing. The honeymoon: The couple headed off to West Wales for a “mini-moon” for a few nights.

They have also planned a family holiday to Turkey during the summer break with their daughters.

Craig said: “It just wouldn’t feel right being away without my girls.”
