Fan’s ticket disappointment

-

A JUSTIN Bieber fan has been left “gutted” after the tickets she bought from a seller on an auction website “never existed”.

Toni Russell, 19, from Bridgend, bought tickets to see the Canadian pop star in Cardiff with her brother Joshua. Having bought them from Viagogo for £128, Toni was told her tickets were due to be sent to her.

But yesterday she was told the seller was unable to provide the tickets, leaving her devastated.

Despite Viagogo’s policy of making every effort to find replacement tickets should a seller not come up with a goods, in Toni’s case it was unable to find any, leaving her high and dry one day before the Despacito singer takes to the stage.

Toni said: “It was quite a last-minute thing to get tickets when my brother decided he wanted to go so on Tuesday I bought tickets on Viagogo and paid for next day delivery.

“We sent an email out at 10am this morning when they confirmed they had the tickets and would send them out but I said we need them today.

“We weren’t getting an answer the email so I phone a number they provided and it turned out they sold tickets which they haven’t got.

“They said they were going to sort out an e-ticket but they had sold out so now they’re going to give me a refund but that will take between 10 and 15 days.”

Toni has resigned herself to fact that she and her brother will not be seeing Justin Bieber perform.

On Viagogo’s website, all buyers and sellers who use the website are covered by the “Viagogo guarantee”.

It states: “When you purchase tickets on Viagogo, Viagogo guarantees that you will receive the tickets you paid for in time for the event. In the rate instance that problem arises and the original ticket seller does not provide you with the tickets for sale, Viagogo will, in its sole and absolute discretion, review comaparably priced tickets and offer you replacement tickets at no additional cost, or Viagogo will issue you a refund for the cost of the tickets.”

It hadn’t responded to a request for comment at the time of going to press.
