Change for Ed Sheeran tickets after mix-up

-

TICKET rules for Ed Sheeran’s Cardiff show have been changed after fans were gutted to end up with ones they wouldn’t have been able to use.

Kind-hearted fans of the singer had been offering to help each other out after some bought tickets for children that wouldn’t have been valid.

Fans had been left angry and upset after a website mix-up meant they bought standing tickets for children who weren’t allowed to stand for the four Principality Stadium shows next summer.

The 26-year-old singer’s website stated that for standing tickets no under-14s were allowed but 15 and 16-year-olds could stand on the pitch if they were accompanied by an adult. But the link from the Shape of You singer’s website that took customers to Ticketmaster said only people aged 16 and over could watch the unprecedent fournight run next June show standing on the pitch. And the Principality Stadium had also said under-16s were not allowed standing tickets at the gig.

But the stadium has now moved to clarify the rules in a move that will hopefully delight and relieve fans. It says children aged 14-16 will be able to stand if accompanied by an adult. Those aged under 14 will not. Before the change fans had been stepping in to try to help each other out, with those with seating tickets offering to swap them with those who had standing tickets for children. However they might have faced problems doing this as rules mean the only way you can exchange tickets is by re-selling them, or by asking the official ticket seller to swap the details over.

One fan on the WalesOnline Facebook page said: “I have two seated, I will happily exchange for standing.” Another added: “I’ll swap my tickets. We are sitting and if anyone is in need I’m willing to swap.”

The terms and conditions do say that to gain admission you must bring:
