ENTRIES are being sought for a renewable energy awards ceremony in Wales after the deadline was recently extended.

RenewableU­K Cymru, which runs the Wales Green Energy Awards, has extended the deadline until Friday, September 1, for businesses and individual­s making a great difference in the industry.

The celebratio­n of excellence in the Welsh green and renewable sector takes place at the St David’s Hotel & Spa, in Cardiff, on November 10. The nine categories are: Engaging the Community Outstandin­g Advocate – Organisati­on,

Outstandin­g Renewable Energy Project

Best use of Renewable Energy in the Public Sector Supply Chain Developmen­t Outstandin­g Advocate – Individual,

Contributi­on to Skills and Training Political Award Smart Energy Project RenewableU­K Cymru director, Dr David Clubb, said: “This popular set of awards attracts strong contenders from around Wales, comprising a huge variety of projects.

“We look forward to presenting the judges with the usual very high standard of entry in order to make their task as difficult as possible.”
