HOT HOUSE II

-

AHANDSOME fourbedroom lodge in the Vale of Glamorgan which dates back to the 1840s is up for grabs. Woodlands Lodge, in Bonvilston, is a Georgian lodge dating from 1840 with its own private, relaxing gardens. The home is located at the centre of the village of Bonvilston, and has, in recent years, been extended to blend the handsome Georgian “original” with a stylish modern extension.

Created in 2010 to sympathetically contrast with the original part of the home, the modern extension offers more space for living and bedroom accommodation,

A family living area includes a floorto-ceiling “wall of glass”, overlooking part of the garden – a paved patio which is perfect for soaking up the sun – while the kitchen/dining room offers ample room for a dining table for either relaxed family meals or for hosting dinner parties.

The staircase from the living room leads to two bedrooms which are at the more modern wing of the lodge.

The master bedroom is a generously sized room, with its own en-suite bathroom with double-ended bath and separate shower. It has bifold doors leading to a private balcony, which looks down onto the patio garden.

The two further bedrooms, to the original part of the lodge, are both doubles and both have use of a shower room.

To the front of the original lodge, and overlooked by the lounge, is a sheltered garden area, which is secluded to offer privacy, while there is enough space for three-four cars on the property’s driveway. This drive is shared with a separate property.

With the village of Bonvilston located between the market town of Cowbridge and Culverhouse Cross in Cardiff, the location would be perfect for those who enjoy living in a village but want to be within reach of Cardiff.

Woodlands Lodge is being marketed by Watts & Morgan estate agents at a guide price of £670,000.
