Store offers £3,000 reward after thieves stole toothbrush­es

BURGLARS stole boxes of electric toothbrush­es from a high street retailer in just 30 seconds.

Now Home Bargains is offering a £3,000 reward for informatio­n.

A box of electric toothbrush­es worth £400 was stolen from the store on Newport Road in Cardiff just after midnight on Thursday.

Police believe that attempts will be made to sell on the toothbrush­es locally.

The store manager said the burglary was so quick there wasn’t even time for the alarm to go off.

He said: “They knew exactly how to get in and exactly what they were going for.

“They broke in through a window and were in and out very quickly.”

South Wales Police confirmed that a burglary took place at the Home Bargains store on Newport Road in the very early hours of September 7.

A police spokesman said: “Boxes of Oral B Pro 2000 electric toothbrush­es were stolen from within the store after a rock was used to smash a bottom panel window.

“An investigat­ion to identify who was responsibl­e has been launched by officers.”

The police spokesman added that CCTV force.
