MUSIC FESTIVAL Craig David to get inside out at city festival

-

CRAIG David is performing at a festival in Cardiff this weekend along with some other big-name singers and DJs.

The Seven Days singer, who recently cancelled an open-air show in Merthyr Tydfil, is bringing his TS5 set to the stage at the capital’s Inside Out Festival, which is back for its second year.

And this year, joining Craig David in the line-up, is DJ Annie Mac, who will be taking to the decks as the headline act.

Returning to Bute Park following its inaugural event last summer, the Radio One DJ will headline the dance event, which will take place tomorrow.

Inside Out organisers say this year’s festival-goers can expect “an explosive line-up packed with DJs”.

They added: “Add into the mix extra stages, plenty of bars, street food stands and a huge funfair, Inside Out Festival 2017 will be like no other event in the city.”

The festival is one of the limited chances to see Craig David’s set, which is inspired by his Miami house parties, as well as a rare chance to see Annie Mac’s DJ set live this year.

Dublin-born Annie has spent the last decade carving out a career as a broadcaster, tastemaker, international DJ.

She’s been described as “Radio One’s champion of new music” and “the successor to Zane Lowe and John Peel”.

Other acts this year include Lethal Bizzle, Sigala, Claptone, P Money, Jasper James, and The Stickmen.

Climax Promotions and SWG Productions are teaming up with Cardiff-based Orchard Entertainment to bring the festival back after a successful first year which saw performances from Tinie Tempah, Chase and Status, Wiley and Redlight attract thousands of music lovers to the dance arena.

Pablo Janczur, from Orchard Entertainment, said: “I’m really happy to be joining forces with Climax and SWG to deliver what will be the ultimate summer closing event in the spectacular surroundings of Cardiff’s Bute Park.

“We aim for this to be an annual must attend for lovers of underground dance music.”
