-

The couple: Faye Elizabeth Robinson de Frias, 27, an office worker from Pontypridd, and Shane Robinson de Frias, 27, a waiter from Manchester.

The couple now live together in Pontypridd. The venue: Shane and Faye tied the knot at the Miskin Manor Hotel, near Pontyclun, on August 14. How they met: Faye said: “We met when we were both working at Cardiff Bay’s Miller and Carter in 2013.

“Shane thought I was irritating as everyone was asking me about my recent holiday and I wouldn’t stop talking.

“I just thought Shane was funny.” The proposal: Faye was enjoying her last day off ahead of starting a new job.

The couple had been to Ogmore all day with their pet staffy, and Faye was looking forward to making a lasagne for dinner.

She said: “I realised we didn’t have milk. I went to go and get some from our local shop but then Shane said he would. An hour later Shane walked through the door with no milk. When I turned around and he was on one knee.

“He went to my dad’s to ask his permission and ended up spending an hour having a beer with him.

“We didn’t have lasagne in the end.” The wedding: The wedding was very minimal as the couple didn’t want anything fancy. It was an intimate ceremony and the couple created a very vintage feel with teapot centrepieces and hessian throws.

Each table was named after a Pokémon generation featuring a picture of Shane’s favourite Pokémon from each generation.

Faye said: “We had speeches from my dad, the best men and my best friends – who actually created a music video for everyone to see.

“We didn’t give a speech. Instead we wrote a little poem to everyone which was placed on the table.

“This was followed by a great party which started with our first dance.” The honeymoon: The couple have booked to go away next spring.

They are jetting off to LA, Hawaii (Maui) and Las Vegas.

Faye added: “We’re going to Vegas last so Shane doesn’t lose all our money!”
