‘PLEASE COME HOME, LEE’
FAMILY ‘EXTREMELY CONCERNED’ FOR SAFETY OF DOORMAN WHO HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE THURSDAY
THE family of a man who has been missing for four days say they are “extremely concerned” for his safety.
Lee Webb, 28, who works at the Goat Major pub in Cardiff city centre and also as a doorman, has not been seen since Thursday.
His family are desperate to trace him and police are also appealing for information
Mr Webb is a committed gym-goer who also has a passion for live music, his family have said.
His sister Sarah Webb said: “We are all extremely worried for his safety and state of mind.
“He has been living in Canton for the last six years after moving from Llanishen.
“He hasn’t been active on his social media and has left his wallet at home.
“He’s often at the gym – but his gym bag is still in his bedroom alongside his wallet and work coat and ID.
“He’s also a fan of going out to watch live music with his friends.
“We are extremely concerned, and we’ve checked around as many hotels in Cardiff as we can, but we’ve had no luck.
“He was last seen at his mother’s house at around 6.45pm on Thursday, and one of his colleagues told us that he hadn’t turned up for work the following morning.
“It’s very out of character for him, and very unusual that he hasn’t got his gym gear with him.”
In a Facebook post, his brother Dale, said: “My brother has been reported as missing. We are worried and concerned about his whereabouts.
“Last seen in work at the Welsh club on Thursday night, but he came home the following morning but hasn’t been seen since.”
South Wales Police confirmed yesterday afternoon that a search for Mr Webb was ongoing.
“This case is still outstanding, and we’re carrying out lines of enquiry,” a South Wales Police spokesman said.
“We are appealing for anyone who might have information about the missing person’s whereabouts to get in touch.
“We implore Mr Webb, if he learns of our appeal, to get in contact with the police on 101.”
