A FATHER OF TWO has died after being “struck by a number of vehicles” on the M4.

Tony Pemberton, 29, from the Pyle area of Bridgend, died in the accident between junction 35 Pencoed and junction 36 Sarn shortly before 9pm on Saturday, November 11.

In a moving tribute to him, his family said: “Tony was well-loved by all of his family and friends.

“He was the father to two young girls whom he loved dearly.

“He was always the joker, high on life and there was never a dull moment when you were in his company.

“He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.”

The M4 was closed in both directions for a number of hours following the incident.

The road had initially only been closed in a westbound direction, but both carriageways were later sealed off at around 9.30pm.

In a statement, South Wales Police appealed for any witnesses or people with dash cam footage to come forward.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “We are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to call us on 101 quoting reference number 1700439235.”
