Footballer Bale and fiancee devastated after family death

WALES star Gareth Bale and his fiancee are said to have been left devastated by a family death.

Bride-to-be Emma Rhys-Jones was planning her wedding to the Real Madrid footballer when she was told her sister’s partner had been found dead.

Emma, 26, is understood to have flown home to Cardiff from Spain to comfort former model Katie, 24, who had just given birth to her second child with longterm partner Alexander Williams.

Police confirmed they are investigating 29-year-old Alexander’s death but said there are no suspicious circumstances.

He was found at his parents’ home in Penarth in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.

Alexander had worked at his father’s car showroom in Cardiff, valeting cars ready for customers.

South Wales Police confirmed they are investigating the sudden death of a 29-year-old man.

A spokesman said: “A man’s body was discovered at an address in the Vale of Glamorgan last Wednesday.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.”
