Burger kings to open pop-up

-

FORGET the three kings, Wales’ very own burger kings are providing Cardiff with a delicious Christmas gift.

The Grazing Shed is spreading its wings and heading north in the new year, with a brand new pop-up restaurant opening at Lakeside.

This is the restaurant’s third fixed site, alongside their original Barrack Lane store and flagship St Mary Street shed, where they are well-known for their “Super Tidy” burgers.

Based at 25 Clear Water Way, the popup will follow the same format as the existing restaurants, with the menu being offered seven days a week from 11am to 11pm.

They will also provide takeaway and home-delivery options, meaning you can feast on their treats from the comfort of your own home.

Bunga Bunga and Spicy Uncle Pedro burgers are just some of the offerings on the menu, with the latter’s ingredients including spicy avocado smash, jalapeno-infused sour cream and chorizo.

For non-meat eaters there are also vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

There is no official opening date yet, but already the excitement has begun.

Dan Magee, company operations manager, said: “The response from locals as well as longstanding customers has been amazing.

“We’re committed to bringing together the best producers and cooking fast, local, quality food that people love and we’re excited to be able to deliver that to a whole new area of Cardiff.

“We can’t wait to bring the Super Tidy brand to Lakeside.”

But if you can’t wait until the New Year, the Grazing Shed has also released some limited-edition Christmas-themed burgers – as well as deep-fried Brussel sprouts.

Festive foodies can try Frank (chicken, sausage meat, camembert fondue, cranberry sauce and garlic mayo), the Mystic Myrrh-ger (sage and onion veggie pattie, cheese, mustard, cranberry sauce and garlic mayo) and the Golden Grinch (beef, sausage meat, mustard, smoked bacon, camembert fondue, cranberry sauce and garlic mayo) burgers along with the battered sprouts covered in their now-famous Country Gravy.

The Christmas selection is available from 11am to 11pm, seven days a week in the Grazing Shed’s Barrack Lane and St Mary Street restaurants, and will run throughout December and into the new year.
