YOUR PETS Mischievous cat loves to play with worms and leaves

-

Pet’s name: Charlie. Age: Eight months. Breed: Moggie. Owner: Sarah Thomas, 46, a support worker from Whitchurch, Cardiff. Owner’s story: “I’ve had six cats from the rescue cat charity RozMogz, and it’s the only place I would get them from.

“I would only get a rescue cat like Charlie because I would never buy a cat online with no past history or checks.

“You know with RozMogz that they’ve had a vet check them over.

“I also do some fundraising work for the charity too.

“He was a little b ***** when I first had him, he is full of mischief.

“He antagonises all of the other cats, Daisy is the only other one that can tolerate him.

“He wasn’t mischievous in a bad way at all.

“The other day I heard him crying and he was in the dishwasher!

“Charlie wasn’t hard work at all. He wanted to play with all of the other cats straight away and he’s very sociable.

“Charlie will eat absolutely anything. The other day he decided to eat some of my friend’s pizza.

“I have never given him something and he hasn’t eaten it.

“He loves to bring in worms from outside too. He doesn’t eat them, he’ll just play with them instead.

“He likes to bring in leaves from outside too.

“I named him Charlie because if I ever had a little boy I would name them Charlie because that’s my dad’s middle name.

“So I named my cat after my dad basically. I am known as ‘the mad cat woman’!

“All of my cats mean everything to me, but he’s my favourite.

“I’m like his mother because he does not leave me alone.

“If I sit down, he gets as close to my head as he can.

“And he sleeps in my bed too, and whatever position I’m in he has to touch me with his paw to make sure I’m still there.”
