The couple: Kerry-Leigh Grabham, 36, from Chester and Jamie Grabham, 32, from Bridgend. Kerry-Leigh is a finance and HR officer and Jamie is a technical sales engineer. They live in Bridgend. The venue: The wedding took place on October 13. The ceremony, breakfast and evening reception were held at Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel and Spa. How they met: Kerry-Leigh said: “We met at our former work place of Trecco Bay.

“Jamie asked me out a few times before I agreed, and we very quickly became inseparable.” The proposal: “Jamie went out of his way to keep his plans secret and surprise me with his proposal,” KerryLeigh said.

“He originally planned to take me to New Quay, west Wales, where he had arranged to privately charter a dolphin watching boat from Dolphin Surveys based in New Quay.

“Unfortunately Steve, who was the owner, told us we were unable to due to the strong wind.”

The couple later went for a walk along the beach to get back to New Quay.

As they were walking down the slipway of the marina Kerry-Leigh spotted a lobster pot and pointed it out to Jamie.

She said: “As we got closer to the lobster pot I could see there was a bottle inside.

“As I got closer to the bottle I could see there was a message in the top of the bottle.

“So I got the message out of the bottle and started to read it.

“It was a poem written by Jamie and I when I finished reading I turned to him and he was down on one knee with the most beautiful diamond ring and said ‘Kerry will you marry me?.’” The wedding: The couple won their wedding through a competition arranged by Pritchard & Moore to celebrate the first anniversary of the bridal shop.

To enter, the couple had to write 500 words about why they thought they should win.

Kerry-Leigh said: “When we found out we won we were so shocked.

“After the shock had worn we were absolutely thrilled have won.

“The wedding day itself was everything and more than we wished for.

“We were so lucky to have been surrounded by our family and friends and we didn’t stop smiling all day.” The honeymoon: Kerry-Leigh said: “We went for a mini-moon to Talybont on Usk and we rented a little cottage for three nights.” off to
