The couple: Sian Jenkins, 29, from Llantwit Fardre, and Harry Sperring, 29, from Beaconsfield.

Sian works as a genetic counsellor and Harry is an assistant head teacher at a primary school. They live together in Aylesbury. The venue: The ceremony was at Harry’s family church St Teresa’s Catholic Church, Beaconsfield, on December 30, 2017.

This was followed by a reception at The Oxfordshire Golf Hotel and Spa, Thame. How they met: Sian said: “We met on Tinder when I was working at Great Ormond Street, London.

“On our first date we went for sushi in South Kensington in 2013. There were torrential storms and the restaurant wasn’t open when we first got there and we had to walk for about five minutes before finding a very expensive wine bar to wait it out.

“Luckily for us it was pretty much love at first sight.” The proposal: Harry proposed in March 2016.

The couple were in Barmouth, Gwynedd, for Easter weekend.

Sian said: “Barmouth has always been an important place for Harry as he used to holiday there as a child with his grandparents, and obviously Wales in general is important to me.

“Harry got down on one knee after a long trek up on the hills overlooking Barmouth Bay, and celebrated me saying yes by popping a party popper and having a sneaky bottle of champagne and glasses in his backpack.” The wedding: The wedding had a winter theme, and the couple decided to have both Welsh and English hymns and readings at the service.

They had 12 tables at the reception and these were based on the 12 days of Christmas.

The centre pieces included a drum filled with flowers, bird cages filled with flowers and a milk urn and bottles filled with flowers.

Sian said: “We cut the cake, and had a dessert table of varying cakes and desserts made by myself, Welsh cakes made by my mum and profiteroles made by the best man’s mum.

“We also had a four-piece band in the evening who sang an acoustic version of Clean Bandit’s Rather Be for our first dance.” The honeymoon: Sian and Harry are planning to jet off to Madagascar and Mauritius to celebrate their first year together as husband and wife.
