Wilsons Auctions Newport can take the hassle out of selling your assets

WILSONS Auctions Newport is encouragin­g businesses and private sellers to consider its services when looking to sell cars, plant and machinery items or general disposal as well as buying at the auction house.

The auction company, which expanded to the local area last year, has extended its offering in recent months to not only include its car auctions and general disposal auctions but now includes plant and machinery and the unreserved government auctions.

Wilsons Auctions is the UK and Ireland’s largest independen­t auction company, with nine branches across its group and has the expertise to realise any asset for its clients.

Following the success of the auctions over the past number of months, since Wilsons Auctions took over the branch, it is evident both buyers and sellers alike could benefit from the growing demand across the car, plant and machinery and general disposal auctions.

The weekly car auctions at Wilsons Auctions Newport take place every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm and Friday’s at 11.30am.

As the auction company continues to expand its offering with continued investment, it is delighted to continue its work with existing vendors as well as welcoming new vendors including Eastern Western Motor Group, Newtown Vauxhall, PW Millar Ford, Ron Skinner & Sons and Pinetree Car Superstore as well as David Taylor Garages, Go Car Credit, Secure Trust Bank, Southern Merthyr Vauxhall and Cardiff, Bristol and Bath Honda.

Talking of the continued growth of the Newport branch, Wilsons Auctions general manager Nigel Binks said: “We have had a fantastic start to the year across all of our auctions at Wilsons Auctions Newport, but especially for our car auctions which have seen a significan­t increase of stock passing through which has been welcomed by our loyal customers and has attracted new custom as well.

“As the branch continues to expand with new stock and a variety of new auctions including disposal, unreserved government and plant and machinery, we can see there is a definite increase in footfall which is creating a real buzz at the site among our clients, customers and staff.”

“Our online bidding facility, LiveBid has also seen an increase in activity as our auctions appeal to a wider geographic­al audience,” he added.

In addition to the weekly car auctions, Wilsons Auctions Newport will be holding its first unreserved government seized assets, lost / found property and general disposal auction on Wednesday, April 25 at 7pm which will feature more than 300 lots as well as the next unreserved government auction on Wednesday, May 16 at 7.30pm.
