WEDDINGS Couple and guests danced the night away after wedding

The couple: Lucy Walsh, 31, a teacher, and Scott Abson, 30, an electricia­n. They are both from Cardiff, where they now live together. The venue: The wedding took place at St Cadoc’s Church, Llanrumney, Cardiff.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Cottrell Park.

Lucy said they fell in love with the venue straight away and described it as a “fantastic place to get married”. How they met: The couple met by chance just over three years ago.

Lucy and Scott just started chatting and got on really well.

They went to Las Iguanas for their first date where they enjoyed a romantic meal. They’ve been together ever since. The proposal: in Greece.

He popped the question in a cabana at a restaurant overlookin­g the beach.

But he really surprised Lucy, as the thought of him proposing hadn’t even crossed her mind.

She said: “I wasn’t expecting it at all as we had only just celebrated my sister’s wedding.” The wedding: Lucy and Scott say they had a lovely wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better day.

She said: “The day was fantastic from start to finish. Everything went to plan. Scott proposed to Lucy

“The guests all looked great and had a fantastic time.”

The couple were also lucky the weather was nice as it stayed dry all day, which was perfect for the photograph­s.

Lucy said the food was amazing and the cake also looked stunning.

They spent the day celebratin­g with their closest friends and family and continued partying into the evening.

Lucy said they spent the evening dancing away with a live band and guests didn’t stop dancing all night long! The honeymoon: Lucy and Scott jetted off to New York two days after the wedding.
