BABIES Mum’s pride at ‘teensie’ smiles

-

Baby’s name: Òrenyàh Milahnì Walsh. Date and place of birth: April 9 at 10.30am at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. Weight: 8lb 2oz. Parents: Mum Simone Emmanuelle Wilson, 28, and dad Christopher Walsh, 32, from Trowbridge, Cardiff. Mum’s story: sickness.

“I didn’t have any strange cravings but I had to have Freddo chocolate bars and I craved really hot curries too. “I was extremely anxious about the birth. “I knew I was expecting a baby girl and found out during the end of pregnancy.

“Her name was really hard to choose as I find it extremely hard to pick a name and we find it very hard to agree on one together.

“She was born one week early via a planned C-section so I didn’t go through labour.

“I was in hospital afterwards for three days due to me being in a lot of pain because I had complications at birth.

“My midwife Alice has supported me until one “I did have terrible morning month after giving birth due to me being unwell too.

“To take her home for the first time felt amazing. The baby had three excited sisters bursting with excitement waiting for her which was lovely.

“She does sleep well. She has a period of time early hours where she is awake and alert but then she sleeps most of the day.

“She is a very happy baby. I have little teensie smiles off her which fill my heart with pride.

“She takes after her dad – she definitely looks nothing like her mum. She’s not the first grandchild on either side.

“It feels amazing to have her in my life. I look at her and literally want to cry because she is so little and beautifully perfect.

“The only thing that has changed since she was born is less sleep and more pain.

“And I get to see her big proud sisters’ faces and their love and how they protect their baby sibling. And they help out which is absolutely fantastic.

“Òrenyàh’s dad has been amazing too.”
