Bale... the host of facing uncertain time

-

Ham and Premier League newcomers Cardiff are being linked with Alllen, so too Spanish club Sevilla. At 28, this will be a critical move for him.

Spent Wales’ magnificent summer in the Euros having to deal with speculation. It will rage again. Already is. United are interested in Ramsey, whilst Barcelona have previously been linked. As such, until he signs a new deal, Ramsey’s future will be the big talking point of Arsenal’s summer.

He is about to enter the final 12 months of his current contract and Arsenal have made it clear they don’t want another Alexis Sanchez situation where a top player goes for nothing with his deal run down.

More questions than answers, but one thing no-one should have any doubt about is the Wrexham youngster’s immense ability. He’s going to be a kingpin under Giggs.

Speaking of immense young Welsh talent, he has always been rated by the Wales hierarchy as the best of the current crop.

It seems an eternity ago, but it was only in the season just gone that Woodburn made one of the most sensational debuts in Welsh football history when he scored that stunning World Cup winner against Austria at Cardiff City Stadium.

He was at it again in Georgia, transforming a drab 0-0 affair to inspire another crucial three points with his pace and brilliance.

Wales and Liverpool fans hoped to see Woodburn kick on from that in club colours. But we only saw him in a League Cup game against Leicester and as an 84th-minute substitute for Mo Salah on the final day of the season.

At 18, Woodburn still has loads to learn. But if Wilson comes back into the Anfield ranks, will Klopp let his other gifted Welsh young gun go out on loan?

If so, where to – the Premier League or Championship? Many Cardiff City fans would love to see Woodburn line up for the 2018-19 campaign in blue. The biggest clubs in the world want him, but he is already at one and winning for fun.

Deep down Bale wants to remain a Real Madrid player – and that may be easier following the exit of Zinedine Zidane – but has made it clear he needs regular football.

Will that come in Spain, Germany or back in the Premier League?

HE is waiting to see how he fits into the planning of new Derby manager Frank Lampard’s planning. But should be fine after good end to the season which ended in play-off heartache for the Rams.

WILL hope the extra demands of Europa League football for Burnley mean he gets more starts, having played second fiddle to Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.

ALREADY in Welsh football folklore for that ‘Cruyff’ turn against Belgium, he didn’t make the cut under Giggs for the Mexico game and has dropped into the Championship with West Brom.

Will be hoping to score a lot more than the two goals managed this season as he forces his way back into Giggs’ Wales plans.

But with Wilson, Woodburn, Lawrence and Brooks emerging, RobsonKanu knows he will need to hit the ground running in 2018-19.
